Since I started my business, I’ve often felt as if I were running at least three businesses at once.
One is my actual business.
The second is my family.
And the third—maybe the most demanding of all—is Naomi Inc., the ongoing work of staying on top of everything that keeps my life moving.

Words like overwhelmed, juggling, busy, tired, and stressed are ones I know intimately. And they’re words I hear again and again from the women I work with. Running a business brings freedom and creativity—but it can also bring a level of load and mental noise that is simply too much for one person to hold.

At some point, I had to ask myself a hard question:

Do I really have to feel this way?
And my honest answer was:
Not all the time.

I’ve come to understand that feeling overwhelmed isn’t a sign that something is wrong with me—it’s a sign of how I am living. It’s an invitation to pause and look at the systems, habits, beliefs and patterns that shape my life and my work.

And once I started exploring that, a whole world began to open.

Learning from David Allen, author of Getting Things Done, helped me understand how the unfinished tasks and invisible commitments in my head drain my energy.
Reading James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, showed me how tiny changes can reshape entire ways of being.
And Tara Brach, in Radical Compassion, taught me how to meet the overwhelmed parts of myself with kindness instead of pressure.

The more I experimented, the clearer I became.
The clearer I became, the calmer I felt.
And the calmer I felt, the more creative and focused I became.

It didn’t make life magically easy. But it made it more mine.
